Fire Mortar (Heat setting & Air setting)

Mortar is an unformed/monolithic type of refractory material that functions as an adhesive for fire bricks in a lining for various types of kilns, boilers and furnaces.

In its application, the specifications of the refractory cement mortar are adjusted to the specifications of the brick to be used as needed.

There are two types of refractory cement mortar, namely heat setting mortar and water setting mortar.

Heat Setting Mortar is a type of mortar that sets or hardens (sintering) after application and heating. Heat Setting Mortar has a dry texture so it is necessary to add water or other additives before application. Several types of our Heat Setting Mortar include:

a. Fire Clay Mortars
• SK-32 (LM – △△), applied to fire brick SK-32.
• SK-34 (LM-X), applied to fire brick SK-34.

b. High Alumina Mortar
• SK-36 (LM-P), applied to fire brick SK-36, Reformer.
• SK-38 (LM-HA) - applied to fire brick SK-38.

Air Setting Mortar is a fire-resistant cement mortar that can set sufficiently with air, no need for heating. In contrast to heat setting, water setting mortar is in the form of a wet paste so there is no need to add water and can be applied immediately. Several types of our Air Setting Mortars include:

a. Fire Clay Mortars
• SK-32 (ASM – △△), applied to fire brick SK-32.
• SK-34 (ASM-X), applied to fire brick SK-34
.
b. High Alumina Mortar
• SK-36 (ASM-KK), applied to fire brick SK-36, Reformer.
• SK-38 (ASM-HA), applied to fire brick SK-38.
